About
Jeremy is one of Vancouver's rising stars of jazz, with a rich baritone that evokes such classic voices as Nat King Cole and Johnny Hartman, along with modern greats like Kurt Elling. Like Elling, he is a fellow disciple of vocalese, following in the footsteps of Jon Hendricks and bringing old standards new life through his poignant, honest lyrics and storytelling.
Already a seasoned performer, Jeremy's resume includes festival appearances fronting the Bruce James Orchestra, the role of Paul in Pascal Saunier's opera, Le Destin du Jazz Club, many gigs around Vancouver, and entertaining in lounges aboard cruise ships the world over. Since returning to Vancouver, Jeremy released his debut album, Hey There, through Cellar Music Group in September 2022.
Jeremy holds a Diploma of Jazz Studies from Capilano University where he studied with Steve Maddock and Jennifer Scott. In Rejean Marois' acclaimed ensemble, Nitecap, Jeremy shared the stage with modern greats: Maria Schneider, Donny McCaslin, Ambrose Akinmusire, and Canadian stars Bria Skonberg and Laila Biali. Outside of jazz, Jeremy also has extensive experience in the worlds of choral music and barbershop harmony, including an international medal winning collegiate quartet, and appearances on TV, film, and radio.

Every fall, el Santo hosts a fundraising event where guests are treated to live music and entertainment, a multi-course dinner with drink pairings, exciting guest speakers, and both silent and live auctions. All proceeds from the annual event go directly to the Canucks Autism Network.
Owner of el Santo, Alejandro Diaz, has a son who is diagnosed with autism. Alejandro and his family have experienced firsthand the need to raise awareness about the developmental disorder and increase funding for programs available for families. Alejandro admires the support and opportunities that Canucks Autism Network (CAN) provides to families affected by autism. The network provides sports, recreational and social programs that meet the unique needs of those on the spectrum.
The past three el Santo CAN events, combined with other fundraising initiatives, have raised over $40,000 to support Canucks Autism Network.
